Teresita Villa is a product of Dominican Catholic Schools in the Philippines from preschool to college. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at The Pontifical University of Santo Tomas and earned her first educator certificate at the age of 19. Mrs. Villa's advocacy for lifelong learning inspired her to complete her Master's Degree in Educational Leadership and School Policies at The University of Texas at San Antonio, and to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Global Educational Leadership. Prior to administration, Mrs. Villa dedicated 27 years as an educator with various leadership roles. Her first eight years of teaching were devoted to Colegio de Santa Rosa and Colegio de Santa Philomena. Moving to Texas, she was privileged to work for Ysleta ISD and Northside ISD where she was recognized as 2016 Texas Elementary Teacher of the Year for Region 20. Mrs. Villa currently holds an EC-12 Texas Principal Certificate and feels very blessed to join St. Matthew’s administrative team as they fulfill their mission in developing the future Catholic leaders of our community. In addition, she is also an active member of her parish where she participates in music ministry and The Ladies of SAMC.
Mrs. Villa loves to travel and spend time with her family including Taco, her poodle. She is also an excellent cook and loves to try various cuisines. Bowling is her favorite sport, and she enjoys staying outdoors to jog and bike.
Mrs.Villa is committed to serving and inspiring the Cardinal Family. Her contribution to educating a strong, faith-centered community as a campus leader, is what she considers to be a significant stewardship that God has planned for her.
