Dear Cardinal families,
I am writing to express my sincere gratitude for your support this past school year. It has been an honor to be a part of such an amazing community, and I am thrilled to start this my role as principal of St. Matthew Catholic School!
I believe that God has a plan for each of us, and I have seen His plan for me unfold in so many ways over the past year. My daughter started attending St. Matthew two years ago, and I was immediately impressed by the sense of community, supportive parish, academics, extracurriculars, and so much more! I knew that I wanted to be a part of this wonderful school, and I am so grateful that I have been given the opportunity to serve as your principal.
I am a follower of Jesus Christ, a wife, a mother of two, and an educator. I have been in education for 21 years, and I have been a part of the Catholic school system for 13 of those years. I am passionate about education and about helping students grow in their faith. I believe that St. Matthew Catholic School is a special place where students can learn and grow in both their faith and academics.
I am excited to be a part of the St. Matthew community and to work with all of you to continue to make this school a place where students can thrive. I know that there may be some changes here and there as I settle into my new role, but please know that St. Matthew Catholic School will always be a place focused on faith, strong academics, extracurriculars, and a truly wonderful, loving community.
I am here first and foremost for our teachers. They are the heart and soul of this school, and they are the ones who make St. Matthew Catholic School such a special place. I am so grateful for their dedication and commitment to our students.
I am also here for our students. I want each and every one of them to know that I believe in them and that I am here to support them in their academic and faith journey. I look forward to getting to know each of them better this year and to seeing all that they will continue to accomplish!
Go Cardinals, and may God continue to bless our community. Sincerely,
April Hallfrisch
Principal
