April Hallfrisch began her career in education in 2003 and joined the Archdiocese of San Antonio in 2006 after relocating from Minnesota. Since then, she has worked as a teacher in grades 4-12 and has most recently held multiple administrative positions, including Testing and Curriculum Coordinator, Director of Academics, Director of Student Affairs, and Head of School.
April is a product of Catholic education and is passionate about educating the whole child—spiritually, academically, socially, and physically. She believes that all students have the potential to succeed and that it is the role of educators to help them reach their full potential.
She is excited to continue with St. Matthew Catholic School as the principal and looks forward to working with faculty and staff, students, and families to create a faith-filled, vibrant, and supportive learning environment. She is confident that St. Matthew is the perfect place to make a positive impact on the lives of students.
