Mrs. Garcia was born and raised in Mexico. At the age of 15 she moved to San Antonio,Texas and attended Clark High School. She continued her education at the University of Texas in San Antonio where she received her degree in EC- 6th grade with a Spanish endorsement.
Mrs. Garcia had the privilege to begin her teaching career at St. Matthew in 1993 when the school first opened its doors. She truly felt blessed as she attended St. Matthew Catholic Church and that is what she called her community,
Her first 3 years at St. Matthew, she taught Spanish to all grade levels and in 1997 she took a position as the Pre-K teacher. After teaching the youngest at St. Matthew for 24 years, being able to teach her faith to all the little minds has been the most rewarding experience.
Mrs. Garcia has been married for 31 years and has 3 children. Paulina (married for 5 years), Angela (will get married in November 2021), and Andres who attends the University of Texas in Austin. I am also the PROUD grandmother to beautiful baby Benjamin.
Mrs. Garcia has one dog by the name of Oreo.
For the past 2 years, I have had the privilege to co-teach with my daughter Paulina.
When Mrs. Garcia is not teaching ,she enjoys walking, traveling and spending time with her family.
