In accordance with the words of our Holy Father Pope Francis, we
"see each child as a gift to be welcomed, cherished and protected..."
The administrative team at St. Matthew Catholic School is dedicated to executing the mission of the school and ensuring that our teachers are prepared to meet and exceed the needs of each student.
Our administrators are the guiding hand that leads our team of exceptional faculty and staff members to continued success. They inspire our diverse group of skilled and committed teachers to appropriately challenge and support the students at St. Matthew, leading by example and dedicating themselves to the overall well being of every unique child.
Collaborating closely with parents and families, our talented administrators and educators help students to reach the highest standards of excellence in learning, living and serving.
The administrative staff is advised by our School Council, which is comprised of ten members, elected and appointed. The Council suggests changes in school policy and the annual budget and recommends, along with the principal, both short and long-term goals for the school. The pastor retains the canonical responsibility of leadership and decision making in both the parish and the school and is the person responsible for all changes in school policy consistent with the teachings of Vatican II. The officers of the Council consist of a President, Vice-President, Secretary and Financial Officer. The School Council meets on the third Thursday of every month at 7:00 p.m. (subject to pastor)
